Sofie de Jong is an interdisciplinary artist and educator currently based in Belfast, NI. Her artistic practice has a heavy focus on research, process and (re)contextualisation. She observes, questions, captures, archives and makes things physical. Her practice revolves around taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture, at the patterns, the architecture of constructs and institutions, and at the abundance of things already present. Sofie sees her artistic practice as a means of understanding the world-as-it-is and inviting a public to re-see, re-consider, and re-encounter the real.
